BEULAH, Ky. -- Una Jean Draper Richards, 64, of Beulah went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 25, 2009, surrounded by her family and friends at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
Una worked various jobs in the Mayfield area and retired from Aramark in Mayfield as a seamstress. Una was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church where she served as assistant pianist, organist, choir member and Sunday School teacher. Una was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Una leaves behind a loving husband of 46 years; two sons, Alan Dale Richards and wife Aprilla Ward Richards of Beulah and Bradley Shane Richards and wife Angela Stone Richards of Paducah; four grandchildren, Ashley Pillow Lewis of Beulah and Alexander Tae and Aliya Grace Richards, both of Beulah; one new grandchild expected in January; one great-grandchild, Alexis Nicole Lewis of Beulah; two brothers, Harold Marion Draper and wife Ursula of Bardwell and Steven Ray Draper and wife Jane of Milburn; several nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2009, at Beulah Baptist Church with Bros. Harold Marion Draper and Jon Kyle Allred officiating. Her brother, Steven Ray Draper, will also speak. Burial will follow at Milburn Cemetery with Bro. Glen Stewart officiating.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. today, September 27, 2009, at Beulah Baptist Church.
